Who we are

More than a scoreboard.

Writers testing games

Founded in Hoxton, obsessed since 2016

BattleRealmWarriors started as a Shoreditch pub argument about which JRPG had the best combat system. Nine years and 3,400 articles later we are a five-person editorial team publishing daily from a studio on Coronet Street, still arguing — now with spreadsheets.

Benchmark lab

We buy our own review copies

No publisher gets to pre-approve a score here. Every hardware benchmark runs on our own calibrated rig, every playthrough is logged, and we publish our testing methodology beside each verdict. If a game costs £59.99, we tell you whether those hours are worth it.

What we publish

Coverage that goes deep.

01

Systems, lore & 60-hour verdicts

We finish the campaign before we score it. Each RPG piece breaks down build viability, difficulty curves and story pacing, with a spoiler-free verdict up top and a spoiler vault below. New long-form review every Tuesday.

Their BG3 build guide got me through Honour Mode on my first attempt. The spoiler vault design is genius — no other site respects readers like this.

I bought a mid-range GPU on their price-per-frame chart instead of the £900 card I was eyeing. Saved a fortune and lost zero performance at 1440p.

The esports recaps land before I've even had my morning coffee. Genuinely the fastest quality analysis in the UK scene. Would love more Valorant depth.

As a solo dev, their indie spotlight tripled my wishlist numbers overnight. They actually played my whole demo and wrote about it with real care.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions.

How do you score games?

We use a 10-point scale, but the number sits beside a plain-English verdict. Every score is backed by logged playtime — usually the full campaign — and a published methodology. We never adjust scores after publisher feedback.

Can I pitch an article?

Absolutely. We pay freelance contributors a flat £180 per feature and £90 per news piece. Send a two-paragraph pitch through the contact form below and our editors reply within five working days, even to a no.

Do you accept review copies?

We accept press codes but we are not obligated to review or to score favourably, and we disclose every code in the article. For hardware, we return loan units after testing and buy retail samples where a fair benchmark demands it.

Is there a newsletter or membership?

Our free Friday digest rounds up the week's best reads and indie releases. A £4.50/month membership removes ads and unlocks our full benchmark spreadsheets. You can cancel any time from your account page.
